2007 – today Founding member and member of the scientific board of the
Euro CTO Club
EuroCTO Club was founded in 2007 by European Interventionalists,
modeled on similar initiatives in Japan and USA, whereby members
share their experience both within the group and the interventional
and general cardiology communities at large. The aim of the
EuroCTO Club is to promote clinical excellence through training and
quality control as well as fostering research and technical
development in the field of CTO recanalization. From 2014 I have
been elected President Elect of the Club and I will serve as President
for the years 2017-2020
2014-today President of the Working Group of Interventional Cardiology of
the Hellenic Cardiological Society.
2011 – 2014 Secretary of EAPCI (European Association of Percutaneous
Cardiovascular Interventions) of the European Society of
Cardiology
2013 -2014 Member of the ESC-EAPCI Task Force on clinical Evaluation of
Coronary Stents.
The task of this Task Force is to make recommendations for a
revision of the EU medical device advisory document on the
evaluation of coronary stents (MEDDEV 2.7.1., Appendix 1)
following the request of the Clinical Investigation and Evaluation
working group (CIE), of the Medical Device Experts Group (MDEG,
standing committee) of the European Commission to the The
European Society of Cardiology. This document is aiming to provide
non-binding guidance including consensus statements and
interpretative documents which aim to ensure uniform application in
European Union.

EuroPCR congress.
Euro PCR is the official congress of EAPCI (European Association of
Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions) of the European Society
of Cardiology).

Military assignment
11/1993-6/1995 Compulsory military service with assignments at the spcesial forces training camp of Rentina and the 108 AK MMΠ artillery military unit of Thessaloniki. From January 2002 I am Reservist Second Lieutenant of Greek Military Army.
